This strategy based game offers something for everybody. Who wouldn’t want to blow up a landscape made off cheese? When playing against your foes, you are immersed into a cyber age’d battefield with as much class as your headmaster’s tie, even the landscapes are destroyable!

The game offers the player a unique choice of options, including a set of campaign modes and the choice to battle it out over Xbox live. Before you start the massacre, you must decide upon your team of worms. Now the thing to point out is Team 17 has done an amazing job at keeping all the orginal features despite it being for Xbox 360… i.e You can still have a worm named ‘Bob’ with a scouse accent who has a block of cheese as a gravestone, we need to be unique right? The player(s) take it in turns against other players or the Ai Opponent. You have the choice to move left, right jump and drop from ledges, before choosing your weapon from your own personal armoury, You usually have a 30 second time limit in order to inflict some damage, if its guns you want – I’d reccomend the shotgun or perhaps you like a bit of fun? If so, go with a baseball and score a home run! Do it for the nation! Off course Team 17 didnt just leave it there, they added enviromental factors into the mix , so place your shots carefully!

Each weapon requires the evolution of skill to operate the device to its full potentional, with wind affecting weapons such as airstrikes and grenades , as well as all of this you need to take into consideration you must also choose the amount of power you want to blast your enemy with. Scattered between levels, are more puzzling challenges in which the player’s tasks may vary from escaping a maze with a jetpack, to killing a team of enemy worms using the ancient art of karate!

You can invite upto 4 of your pals to play in a mutiplayer, or you can play a quick match or play a custom designed match by choosing one of the several modes including Deathmatch and race! How cool is that? Also in this game, it features an online shop… No, not for clothes but for unlockable new weapons, landscapes and campaigns! This is helped by the fact that the user gains a small sum of gold per level completed, So you can super sheep your foes or set them on fire with petrol bombs! Not forgetting the achievements which give you an update progress report on how close you are to completing them!

Overall this game gets a 9.5/10, This is purely based on the overwhelming quality of the graphics and the orginal gameplay, So if you liked Worms, Or Worms World Party, I highly recommend you get your wallet out for this game, it excels in both user friendliness and action whilst mainting a professional feel about it.

A Classic WW2 resistance game, set in Nazi Occupied Paris. The user plays as a car mechanic named ‘Sean’ who goes about freeing occupied Paris, after drowning his sorrows. If you liked GTA, then you’ll like this…. It features a 20 hour campaign, which sees Sean go from humiliating the Germans at the grand prix to destroying the main occupied Nazi Bases.

The story starts off in a brothel located in Montmartre, where after Sean drowns his sorrows he gets acquainted with a former member of the French Resistance who offers to help him rid Paris of the Germans. The story then takes a turn for the worst, as we see Sean lose one of his friends at the Palace of one of Paris’s most notorious villains. From then on, the user plans to seek vengeance.

In terms of graphics, the quality is astounding for a game of this calibre, and even more so because it’s a free play world, the highest quality is used through the game. You can hop in a ‘Beta Romero’ racing car, and go for a drive in the countryside whilst enjoying the houses and surrounding countryside in high definition. The user gets a real sense of nostalgia because of the one element that made this game so great, the colouring. The game starts off in black and white, and as you liberate more of Paris, the more the colour comes back… and what’s so amazing about this element is, the transition between black and white and Technicolor, its smooth. Ordinarily you’d think you would see patches that aren’t coloured properly, or when you go near a border of Germany, that you wouldn’t be able to see the rest of the countryside still in colour But You can! Overall 10/10, If you like blowing up tanks with bazooka’s or stealth killing Nazi Generals, then this is the game for you.

For those who haven’t heard already, rumors of a new Wii 2 HD have been popping up all around the net. Certain Specs that have been reveiled for this new system have included:

• a Blu-ray Drive with a seconday motive to hopefully stop pirating
• 1080p Resolution support (wether upscaling of current games will be supportted is still unknown)
• a Worldwide release date in the third quarter of 2010
• a sort of trade in plan, where you would be able to trade in the original Wii for some sort of credit toward the new one.

This info was originally leaked from Nintendo’s french Marketing team and this leak seems to have run loose all over the net. It was only yesterday that President of Nintendo Iwata was quoted as saying; “We were unable to show a new game to become ‘the next thing.’ In the game market, once you’ve lost the momentum, it takes time to recover.” Wether it is real or not, only time will tell.

For those of you holding fast to the hope that you’ll get your hands on Square Enix’s next MMO, Final Fantasy XIV, before the game’s eventual release, it appears as though you’ll need to get your hands on a Windows PC first. In a recent interview with Game Watch, FFXIV director Hiromichi Tanaka said the game’s beta release will be on PC only.

Starting with a closed population of 10,000 people and eventually opening up to the public, the beta could be running at full capacity by as early as Summer 2010, according to Tanaka. Hopefully, by that point we’ll be playing Final Fantasy XIII — in English — and no longer cracking jokes about FFXIV releasing before XIII … Hopefully.

9. DOOM III

When this trailer was first released, people were absolutely dumbstruck by the quality of graphics it was detailing. Similar to what Crysis was like when it first came out, this game cause gamers everywhere to start updating their rigs to DOOM III quality. Gamers seriously thought that we had reached the pinnacle of what gaming graphics would look like.

8. Gears Of War

Who else remembered for months after the release of this IMMENSLY popular commercial, people everywhere calling into their favorite radio station requesting “that song from the xbox commercial”. In case you were wondering the song is called Mad World by Gary Jules, it first came to be in the movie Donnie Darko.

7. Grand Theft Auto 4

Everyone was waiting for the preview of the first next generation Grand Theft Auto game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. When they finally premired it on their site, it came with a mix of different emotions. People first speculated from the landmarks shown that it was going to be taking place in New York City. NYC didn’t want any of that kind of publicity, but in the end it turned out to actually be still within a newly re-designed Liberty City.

6. Super Smash Bros Brawl

Not only was this the first trailer to show off the newly reformed graphics of the 3rd in the series of Smash brothers games, but the announcement of Solid Snake as a character blew everyone away. Nintendo wanted to make sure he was in the first trailer as kind of a lure for other publishers to allow their characters to also be used in the game. Who knows what characters could be in the next title? Megaman anyone?

5. Starcraft 2

“Hell it’s about time” that is something the millions of fans want to be saying right now, but alas the game has been pushed back for a 2010 release now. It took them 10 years to release this trailer, Starcraft was first released in March of 1998. Will the millions of fans finally get what they deserve when this game is finally released? I for one am hopeing so.

4. Halo 3

Any big halo fan can almost recit this trailer. Not that it was an unexpected announcement, but this was the first trailer to actually show the graphics of what Halo 3 was going to be capable of. In this trailer you will notice that Cortana is speaking very crypticly. It is actually based loosly off of a poem by T.S Eliot called “The Hollow Men”.

3. Final Fantasy 7

This is again another one that doesn’t really fit as a trailer as it was the commercial for the game, but really who else when they saw this commercial went out and bought a playstation. I know I did.

2. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

Some will say why didn’t the trailer for the Lich King make it up here aswell. The reason is, as good as that trailer was, I don’t think it had the same impact as the trailer for the First expansion EVER to be released for World of Warcraft. This trailer (Which also happens to be the intro) blew everyone away with the first appearance of Illidan and his rage filled speech.
